CHESTER, Pa. - The Widener University women's volleyball team kept rolling on Tuesday night, as it swept Hood, 25-18, 25-16, 25-14, in its MAC Commonwealth match at Schwartz Athletic Center.
The Pride have improved to 2-2 in MAC Commonwealth play and 6-9 overall this season. The Blue and Gold have won six of their last seven matches since an 0-8 start.
HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST HOOD
- The Pride and the Blazers went back and forth in the opening set before the Pride put together a 7-0 run to increase a two-point lead to a 21-12 advantage and eventually won the game.
- In the second set, the Pride jumped out to a 15-5 advantage and cruised to the victory.
- In the final game, the Blue and Gold held a 16-12 lead before going on a 9-2 run to close out the match.
- Isabella Ricevuto led the Pride with nine kills.
- Megan Barthol dished out a match-high 29 assists and totaled a match-high three aces.
- Rachel DiCarlo paced the Pride with 12 digs.
