Women’s Volleyball Achieves Two All-Conference Honors and a Co-Defensive Player of the Year

Barnes and Benjamin were both recognized for their outstanding performances this season.

NEWTOWN, Pa. - Two players from the Pride were recognized on the MAC All-Conference team, which was announced earlier today. 

Included on the second team is Elizabeth Barnes, who served as the libero for the Pride. Barnes topped both her team and the conference with 509 digs, averaging 4.89 digs per set. Additionally, she ranked fourth on the Pride and was 32nd out of 40 in the conference with 26 service aces. Barnes was also awarded Co-Defensive Player of the Year. 

Another member of the second team is outside hitter Azira Benjamin. She tied for the team lead with 225 kills, ranking ninth in the conference with an average of 2.42 kills per set. In addition, she placed 18th in the conference with a hitting percentage of .168 and ranked 12th in blocks, contributing a total of 61. Benjamin also secured the 12th spot on the conference points leaderboard with a total of 261.5.
