NEWTOWN, Pa. – Avalynn Baer of Widener Women's Basketball has earned MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week honors for the week ending February 16, the conference office announced.
Baer averaged 22.5 points across two conference victories to lead the Pride to a playoff-clinching week. The senior forward poured in a career-high 22 points in a 78–59 win at Albright before topping that mark with 23 points in a 70–46 victory over Alvernia. She added eight rebounds in each contest, providing a dominant presence on both ends of the floor.
Widener now stands at 18–5 overall and 9–3 in conference play, having officially clinched a MAC Commonwealth playoff berth. The Pride will look to carry their momentum into the final stretch of the regular season.
