Adler Takes Rookie of the Year; Pride Earn Four Offensive and Special Teams All-Conference

NEWTOWN, Pa. – First year Fred Adler highlight's Widener Football's four offensive and special teams All-Conference Selections.
 
The 2025 MAC First Team All-Conference selections show first year kicker Fred Adler as the only member. Adler was also garnered as Rookie of the Year following an OT game winning field goal and two 14-point games.
 
Adler emerged as a key player in the Pride's points with a season 12-of-15 in field goals, and 13-of-15 in extra points. Adler would drill a 42-yard field goal and hold 49 of the Pride's 176 total points from the season. The West Chester, Pa. native would also be responsible for kickoff duties where he handled 40-of-42 kickoffs. Adler would hold 2274 yards on kickoffs, hold four touchbacks while averaging 56.9 yards per kick.
 
The Pride offensive saw two honorable mentions from tight end Harrison Stewart-Smith and offensive lineman Justin Wilson. Another special team's member Brandon Yoder also saw an honorable mention following his punting season.
 
Stewart-Smith held five receptions on the offensive side for 49 total yards and a long of 21. Stewart-Smith's 21-yard reception began the turning point against King's that showed 31 unanswered points with the first Pride touchdown of the game in the second quarter.
 
The offensive lineman Wilson led the line to allow the Pride offensive to rush for over 1000 yards and air 1383 passing yards. Wilson helped the offensive line protect the quarterback with only 21 sacks against the Pride.
 
Yoder's punting leg came into play this season as the Dover, Del. native sent the ball away 77 total times for 2013 total yards. Yoder would hold a long of 77 yards on the season with a second long of 64 against Eastern. Of his 55 punts, 17 would be fair caught and three would be longer than 50 yards with no touchbacks on the season.
