DALLAS, Pa. – Cantrell, Jackson, and Chan show speed at the Cougar Splash Invitational following a shortened meet.
The Pride would take first overall out of six teams with 499.5 total team points.

The first event of the day bowed to
Matthew Niro,
Dan Jackson,
Alex Chan, and
Joshua Cunningham in the 200-yard medley relay. The quad clocked in a 1:35.72.
Seth Phillips led a 1-2-3 finish in the 400-yard individual medley with a 4:21.19.
Patrick Rankin took second with a 4:22.61 and
Adam Bailey swam in a 4:27.90. All three marked new season bests.
Chan's 100-yard butterfly led a 1-2-4 finish as he clocked in a 51.89. Cunningham swam a 52.67 for second place and Niro tied for fourth with a 53.07.
Zach Delgado snuck in at sixth with a 53.58.
Shane Douthit and
Sean Lehan swam a 3-4 in the 200-yard freestyle. Douthit led with a 1:47.81 while Lehan swam a 1:49.18.
Jackson took first in the 100-yard breaststroke by two seconds with a 57.73.
Michael Machristie took sixth with a 1:01.76.
A 3-4-5 finish in the 100-yard backstroke for the Pride would be led by
Patrick Rauch. Rauch clocked in a 53.71 while
Kyle Cantrell finished behind in a 53.91. Niro's second event of the meet would result in the fifth-place spot with a 55.36.
The longest relay of the event list would show a second-place finish from Jackson, Phillips,
Jason Mongiovi, and Lehan. The 800-yard freestyle relay displayed a 7:16.84 for a new season best.
Lehan's 1650-yard freestyle showed 32 second 50-yard averages to finish in a 17:34.04.
Rauch took second in the 200-yard backstroke with a 1:56.50. Niro and Rankin finished fifth and sixth respectively with Niro hitting in a 2:00.56. Rankin clocked in a 2:02.91.
Cantrell led a 2-3-4 finish in the 100-yard freestyle with a 47.14. Cunningham showed a 48.06 and Douthit hit the wall in a 48.71. Delgado took sixth with a 49.01.
The Pride stacked the top 10 in the 200-yard breaststroke with Jackson leading the way. Jackson clocked a 2:05.40 to win by nine seconds. Machristie took second with a 2:14.29.
Shane Hubbard took fourth in a 2:16.76 while Mongiovi and Phillips finished after. Mongiovi swam a 2:18.03 and Phillips wrapped up the group with a 2:18.07.
Rankin's 2:03.59 was good enough for fourth in the 200-yard butterfly with Bailey swimming in a 2:04.02.
The Pride wrapped up the meet with a first in the 400-yard freestyle relay. The quad of Jackson, Cunningham, Delgado, and Chan won by a second with a 3:11.10.
