Men’s Swimming Sweeps Immaculata and Lebanon Valley

CHESTER, Pa. – In the final home dual meets of the season, Widener Men's Swimming drowned Immaculata and Lebanon Valley by 100 points.
 
The Pride would hold a 126-42 win over Lebanon Valley and a 133-24 win over Immaculata to move to 6-4 in the regular season and 5-1 in conference.

HOW IT HAPPENED
 
The men would open with a 1:47.69 in the 200-yard medley relay. Seth Phillips, Adam Bailey, Matthew Niro, and Collin Ergood led with Noah Fedo, Marcus Moreef, Michael Machristie, and Naveen Boggi coming in behind with a 1:51.50.
 
Phillips continued the event later in the 1000-yard free where he clocked a 12:39.47.
 
Boggi would lead a sweep in the 200-yard free with a 2:02.03. Moreef would take second with a 2:04.99 and Fedo touched in a 2:05.99.
 
Benjamin Holub snagged a second place finish in the 50-yard free with a 24.30. Distance swimmer Sean Lehan would sprint a 24.57.
 
In the 200-yard individual medley, John Halloran took the win with a 2:17.13 while Ergood touched with a 2:18.84.
 
Niro captured his first win in the 100-yard free with a 52.08. Bailey took third in 55.32.
 
Bailey would wrap up his day with a win in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:09.14) by three seconds.
 
The final relays would sweep with Niro, Boggi, Ergood, and Bryce Garber touching first in the 200-yard free relay in 1:36.86. Moreef, Lehan, Holub, and Halloran touched in a 1:43.84.
 
UP NEXT
Widener heads to York, Pa. on Saturday, January 24 to face 9-0 (4-0 MAC) York Spartans. Meet time is set for noon.
