Junior Jackie Elliott (Upper Darby, PA) scored with 11:21 remaining as Widener won its second straight game, 2-1 at Philadelphia University.

Elliott took a pass from sophomore Shannon Fien (Millville, NJ) and slapped home her second goal of the season.

The Pride (3-5) opened the scoring in the sixth minute as junior Jessica Gonzalez (Eastampton, NJ) netted her team-leading fifth goal of the year.  The Rams (2-8) leveled the game in the 49th minute on Brooke Woodland's eighth goal of the season from Leah Arthur.

Megan Purcell (Perkasie, PA) made it hold with seven saves and fellow sophomore Lauren Fidati (Forest Hill, MD) had five shots as the Pride ended with a 19-10 edge.

Anne Strobel posted 11 saves and Woodland took five shots for the Rams.

Widener on Saturday hosts Muhlenberg at 1:00 pm.
