Field Hockey Has Three Players Selected for the All-Conference Team

Bervinchak, Armstrong, and Fithian all were acknowledged for their impressive seasons.

NEWTOWN, Pa. - Three members of the Pride were honored with spots on the MAC All-Conference team, which was announced earlier today. 

Listed on the first team is sophomore forward Karly Bervinchak. Bervinchak showcased her offensive prowess for the Pride this season, leading the team with ten assists and finishing second in goals scored with eleven. In the conference, she stands out with the highest number of shots taken (68) and the most assists. Additionally, she ranks second in shots on goal (39) and is among the top ten players in the conference for total goals scored. 

Also on the first team is senior defender Kayleigh Armstrong, who made a significant impact this season. Armstrong scored six goals, ranking third on the team, and tied for second in game-winning goals with two. In the conference, she distinguished herself by finishing in the top ten for both the highest number of shots taken (49) and the most defensive saves. 

Finally, senior goalkeeper Arwen Fithian earned honorable mention on the All-Conference team. This season, she made 14 starts in 16 games, where she faced a total of 99 shots and successfully saved 78, resulting in an impressive save percentage of .788%. Fithian ranked among the top five in the conference for several key categories, including goals against average, total saves, shutouts per game (recording three throughout the season), and saves per game.
