Junior Michael Garrity (Briarcliffe, PA), senior Brad Moran (Neshanic Station, NJ) and junior Brooke McDonald (Drexel Hill, PA) all posted victories for Widener on day two of the Middle Atlantic Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Grantham, PA.
Garrity won the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 9:31.75, easily taking the race by almost six seconds.
Moran, who finished second in the shot put at the MAC Indoor Championships, went one step higher outdoors with a toss of 15.19 meters.
McDonald captured the pole vault to match her victory from the MAC Indoor Championships. She closed at 3.25 meters to score 10 points for the women's squad.
The men's team is in third place with 47 points and trails first-place DeSales, which has 81 points. Widener last year was down 37 points entering the final day before winning the crown.
The women's squad is sixth with 34.5 points.
The third and final day takes place Saturday in Grantham, PA.
