NEWTOWN, Pa. - Following a record breaking performance, graduate student Gabby Nye was garnered MAC Track Athlete of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday (Jan. 27).

Gabby Nye set a new Widener record in the 3k at the Hounds Classic, winning the event with a time of 9:50.24. This performance ranks first in the conference and fifth in the nation.

Widener returns to competition on Saturday, January 31 for their home hosted Schuylkill Showcase at The Ott Center in Philadelphia.
