NEWTOWN, Pa. — Widener Men's Soccer goalkeeper Tristan Willey was named the MAC Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Week for his performance during the week of Sept. 21, 2026, to Sept. 27, 2026.

The senior made eight saves in a 1-1 week for the Pride, including a season-high five saves in a 3-0 shutout victory over Misericordia. Willey also made three saves in a 1-0 loss to Johns Hopkins. The shutout marked the fourth of the season for Willey.

Willey has been a key contributor for the Pride this season, helping Widener to a 5-2-1 overall record.

Up next, Widener will host Delaware Valley on Wednesday, Sept. 30. The match is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
