BALTIMORE, Md. - Widener Men's Soccer was shutout by Johns Hopkins in a 1-0 loss at Homewood Field.
With the loss, the Pride now sport a record of 4-2-1 and also see their four game win streak snapped.
BY THE NUMBERS
- Widener took eight shots to Johns Hopkins' 16.
- The Blue Jays had five corner kicks while Widener had three.
- Tristan Willey made three saves in net for Widener.
- Jordi Lopez led the team with four shots.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- In the first half, the only shots on goal came from Johns Hopkins. Willey made a save in the first minute for the Pride before making two more later in the half and keeping the score 0-0 heading into halftime.
- The Pride recorded their first shot on goal in the 63rd minute but it would be Johns Hopkins who would get on the board first, scoring in the 68th minute. Widener registered two more shots on goal but could not find the equalizer and the game would end 1-0 in favor of the Blue Jays.
