CHESTER, Pa. – Head Women's Soccer Coach Melissa Franks has announced Widener's 2026 schedule, featuring a challenging 18-match slate with nine home contests at Elizabeth J. Hirschmann Field and a full MAC Commonwealth schedule awaiting in October.
The 2026 campaign gives the Pride a balanced mix of non-conference opponents and conference matchups, including several regional rivals and perennial postseason contenders. Widener will look to build momentum through a competitive September before entering the always demanding MAC Commonwealth stretch.
THE 2026 SCHEDULE
Widener opens the season on the road on September 1, traveling to Baltimore to take on Notre Dame of Maryland at 4 p.m. The Pride return home three days later for their home opener against King's (Pa.) on September 4 at 4 p.m., beginning a three-game homestand. Widener continues that stretch against Cairn on September 5 at 3 p.m. before heading back on the road for a matchup with Washington College on September 9 at 7 p.m. A difficult road test follows on September 12, as the Pride travel to Washington, D.C. to face
Catholic at 1 p.m.
Widener returns to Chester for back-to-back home contests, hosting Ursinus on September 16 at 7 p.m. and Wilkes on September 19 at 1 p.m. The final non-conference road match comes on September 23, with the Pride traveling to Glenside to face Arcadia at 6 p.m. Widener then closes out September with a home showdown against Haverford on September 29 at 7 p.m.
MAC Commonwealth play begins on the road at Albright on October 3 at 4 p.m. The Pride continue conference action at Neumann on October 6 before returning home for one of the marquee matches of the season, hosting Messiah during Homecoming Weekend on October 9 at 7 p.m. The Pride remains home on October 14 to host Alvernia at 7 p.m. before hitting the road for a matchup at Hood on October 17 at 4 p.m.
The final stretch of conference play begins with a road contest at Eastern on October 21 at 7:30 p.m. The Pride closes its home schedule on October 24, welcoming Stevenson to Chester for a 1 p.m. kickoff. The regular season concludes with two pivotal conference contests: a home matchup against York on October 28 at 7 p.m. followed by the season finale on the road against York (Pa.) on October 31 at 3 p.m., where postseason positioning could be on the line.
With a strong home slate and a demanding conference schedule, the Pride will aim to build off recent progress and position themselves for a run at the MAC Commonwealth Tournament.
