NEWTOWN, Pa. – Luke Shimko of Widener Men's Lacrosse has been named the MAC Commonwealth Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in the week ending February 23, as announced by the conference office.

Shimko recorded eight points on five goals and three assists to lead the Pride to a 17–10 victory over Shenandoah. The sophomore attack placed six of his seven shots on goal, showcasing his efficiency on the offensive end. He also contributed three ground balls, impacting the game beyond the scoring column.

Widener continues to build momentum early in the season, as their record stands at 1-1, and will look to carry its offensive rhythm into upcoming competition.
