NEWTOWN, Pa. – The Widener Men's Volleyball team earned a sixth-place selection in the Middle Atlantic Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll ahead of the 2026 season, the conference office announced Friday (Jan. 2).
Widener totaled 29 points in the poll, placing between Arcadia (35 points) and Eastern (25 points). Stevens led the rankings with 62 points and six first-place votes, while Messiah finished second with 58 points and three first-place votes.
Last season, the Pride went 16–12 overall and 3–5 in MAC Commonwealth competition, falling short of a conference playoff berth.
The 2026 season opens in just over a week, as the Pride travel to Langhorne, Pa., to face Cairn on Wednesday, Jan. 14, at 7 p.m. The Pride swept Cairn, 3–0, in last year's matchup.
