2021 saw further progress for the Pride including winning its first ever conference game, a three-match winning streak, and the program's first ever postseason appearance. With a strong front line of newcomers, Widener looks to take further strides in coming years.

Though not fully reflected in the overall record, the 2019 Widener men's volleyball team made strides in its second season. The defense took a big step forward, recording nearly two more digs per set and serving improved with 20 more aces than the inaugural campaign.

The Widener University men's volleyball team was the first men's varsity sport to debut at the University since 1968. The Pride improved as the season went on and won its first match on March 15, 2018 with a sweep of Neumann. Widener enjoyed arguably its best day of the season, sweeping a tri-match against Medgar Evers and York (N.Y.) on March 31. A. J. Sungenis became the first award winner for the Blue and Gold, garnering Academic All-MAC honors after the season.
