NEWTOWN, Pa. – The MAC Preseason Coaches' Poll has placed Widener Football fifth for the 2025 season.
 
With just over two weeks until kickoff, the Pride earned 53 points in the latest MAC Coaches' Preseason Poll to rank fifth out of the 10 teams. King's and Delaware Valley would be tied for first with 76 points. King's would edge Delaware Valley in first places votes five to four. Eastern and Stevenson would take the third spots with 55 points with Eastern taking one first place votes. Under the Pride is FDU-Florham with 47 points.
 
The Pride's home and season opener is set for a 1 p.m. kickoff on September 6 against Geneva (Pa.).
