CHESTER, Pa. - Widener Head Football Coach
Mike Barainyak has announced the 2025 schedule on Wednesday afternoon, which includes six home games at Quick Stadium.
This season, the Pride are set to being their ten game grind on the gridiron with a full slate of MAC opponents. The season will conclude with the Centennial-MAC Bowl Series following the final regular season schedule.
"Today's schedule release is always an exciting day," said Coach Barainyak. "It is a reminder that we are getting closer to the best time of the year... college football and especially Widener football. We have a slate of competitive match ups that will truly test our team, both at home in Quick Stadium and on the road."
The 2025 Schedule
"Every year the schedule presents new challenges and unique opportunities" as the Pride being their season with a new foe. September 6 kicks off the long stretch with a visit from the Geneva College Golden Tornadoes for the first ever match up in program history. September continues with the first road game to Owings Mills, Md. to visit the Stevenson Mustangs to being conference play as the Pride look to revenge the close 10-3 loss. September concludes with a visit to Reading, Pa. and the Albright Lions where the Pride handled business last season with a 21-0 win.
The Pride being the three game stretch in October on the 11th with a visit from the FDU-Florham Devils. October 11 will also serve as Homecoming. A week later, Lebanon Valley returns to Hirschmann Field for the first time since the double overtime game during the 2023 season. Another trip to Reading, Pa. concludes October as the Pride visit the Alvernia Golden Wolves on the 25th.
Two home games on November 1 and 8 will end the festivities at Quick Stadium with the first coming with a visit from Eastern. The Pride will continue to extend their series win streak to three after a 27-13 win last year in St. Davids, Pa. A final play decision from a close 28-25 game against King's wraps up play on Senior Day on November 8. The annual Keystone Cup is scheduled for November 15 against Delaware Valley, this year in Doylestown, Pa.
Tickets
Widener will conclude their transition to online ticket sales with football this fall. Digital tickets will be available for all home football games played on Hirschmann Field at Quick Stadium in single game passes and full season passes. All fans looking to purchase general admission single game tickets can do so starting Tuesday (July 1) via the ticket link located on the season schedule. Fans looking to purchase a season pass will be able to do so shortly after the beginning of July.
