NEWTOWN, Pa. – Widener Women's Lacrosse earns five MAC Commonwealth All-Conference selections, as announced by the conference office on Wednesday (May 7).
Following a trip to the MAC Commonwealth Semifinal against York, the Pride ended the 2025 campaign with an 8-10 overall record and finished the conference season with a 4-3 record.
The Pride would earn two first team selections, two second team selections, and an honorable mention.
Senior defense
Makayla Cox returned to the All-Conference team with a first team selection. Cox would help hold the defense down with 26 caused turnovers and 33 ground balls. Cox's 25 CTs would be tied in team standings with other first team selection
Clark Trowbridge. Trowbridge earned her spot on the team as a midfielder, playing and starting in all 18 games while accumulating 39 goals, 75 draw controls, 26 caused turnovers, and 36 ground balls. Trowbridge had two game winning goals and became Widener's All-Time leader in Draw Controls on Apr. 23 against Eastern.
The second team would consist of first year midfielder
Claire Lynch and senior attack
Chloe Mingioni. Both new to the all-conference team, Lynch and Mingioni played and started in all 18 games. Lynch would also be named Rookie of the Year for her 27 goals, four assists, 10 free-position goals, 43 draw controls, and 24 caused turnovers. On the offensive side, Mingioni would hold 33 goals, lead with 28 assists, have two game winning goals, six free-position goals, and hold two draw controls.
Junior defense
Kasey Thornton would make her return as an honorable mention. Thornton would help Cox secure the defense with 24 caused turnovers and 24 ground balls. The two would help the Pride secure two close wins over Misericordia and Ursinus.
