NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. - Widener Women's Lacrosse places two on the IWLCA All-Region Team, as announced by the IWLCA on Friday (May 16).
The IWLCA placed 256 student-athletes on the All-Region team for the current season, of the 256 were seniors
Clark Trowbridge and
Makayla Cox earning their spots on the Metro Region Second Team.
Trowbridge made her debut on the All-Region team this season as the senior played and started in all 18 games while accumulating 39 goals, 75 draw controls, 26 caused turnovers, and 36 ground balls. Trowbridge had two game winning goals and became Widener's All-Time leader in Draw Controls on Apr. 23 against Eastern.
Cox returns to the All-Region team for the second straight year as at defense. The senior would pick up her second postseason award after earning a spot on the MAC Commonwealth First All-Conference team. Cox continued her defensive reign leading the Pride in caused turnovers with 25, tied with Trowbridge, and would scoop 33 ground balls.
