INDIANAPOLIS – Widener Head Women's Lacrosse Coach
Sophie Bass joined the NCAA Rules and Regulations Committee for Women's Lacrosse.
The NCAA has announced new members to the Rules and Regulations Committee in September which includes Bass. The newly reformed committee is comprised of three members from Division II, five members from Division III, and the secretary-rules editor. Of the nine members, 25% must be administrators and 50% must be coaches.
The committee is responsible for helping contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures of the rules pertaining to the specific sport.
Bass, whom is heavily involved in the lacrosse world, joined the committee in September 2025 will begin her four-year term following a rule change year. Bass' term will conclude in August 2029.
In addition to being the Israel National Team Head Coach and a member of the committee, Bass also serves on the IWLCA Regional Rules Committee and is the Metro Region Chair for the All-American Committee.
Widener currently holds two NCAA Rules and Regulations Committee spots, one in women's lacrosse and the other in swimming and diving.
