11/7/2025 1:36:00 PM

CHESTER, Pa. – Head Men's Basketball Coach Chris Carideo has announced a change in coaching staff for the 2025-26 season to include Brendan Pollick as Associate Head Coach.

"Brendan bought D1 assistant coaching experience with him to Widener upon his arrival from Hartford!" said Coach Carideo. "He's been a huge part of our success reaching two NCAA tournaments since his arrival. He has recruited top student-athletes and developed players within the program and has earned the title of Associate Head Coach through all his hard work."

Since joining the Pride in the 2022-23, Pollick has aided a 50-32 record while attaining a 28-16 MAC Commonwealth record. The Pride would hold their highest national ranking during the 2023-24 season at #13 and first in regional rankings.

During the past three seasons, Pollick has been an integral part of the coaching staff with player development and scouting reports. The three years have shown seven All-Conference selections and two NCAA tournament berths.

Before joining the Pride, he was a graduate assistant at the University of Hartford from 2020-22 where he helped coach the Hawks to their first even NCAA tournament experience and American East Championship.

The Sea Isle City, N.J. native earned his bachelor's degree in exercise science from Rowan University of 2018. Pollick went on to pursue a master's in business administration from Hartwick in 2022.
