HAVERFORD, Pa. –
Kelly Barr,
Emily Cooney, and
Savannah Steger each earned individual event titles while the 4x400 relay team picked up another first on Saturday at the Seamus McElligott Invitational.
In team scoring, the Pride found themselves in a three-way tie for second with Rowan and Swarthmore.
Barr set a new personal best in the 200-meter dash with a 27.05 while teammates
Jayla Gore (27.25) and
Maria Muzzarelli (27.50) followed close behind. All three earned MAC and AARTFC qualifications.
In the mile the sophomore duo of
Jaden Sweely and
Donna Holt earned MAC and AARTFC time standards and ran a 2:25.63 and 5:28.77 respectively.
Cooney added a college best in the 3000-meter run with a 10:38.54 and a first. Cooney's time is good for sixth in the MAC just 0.15 behind teammate
Elizabeth Egan.
The relay team consisting of
Emma Schultz, Gore,
Erin O'Brien, and Barr ran the 4x400-meter relay in 4:14.96. Their time earned them the top place in the MAC and two seconds ahead of Misericordia's team.
In the field, Steger jumped to a 3.20-meter mark which is just shy of her personal best of a 3.35-meter mark. Steger's pole vault mark earned her a MAC and AARTFC qualification and tie for fourth in the conference rankings with Alexis Merola from Stevens.
