HAVERFORD, Pa. The Widener University women's indoor track & field team competed in the McElligott Invitational on Saturday afternoon, taking home third place with eight top-five finishes.
Claire Burkert placed second out of seven runners in the 60-meter hurdles, posting a time of 9.86 seconds.
Rachel Parr finished third in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:03.71.
Aishah Dukes was fifth in the 200-meter dash, recording a time of 27.62 seconds.
Hailey Welchans won the pole vault with a height of 2.75 meters. Abigail Sheerer placed second in triple jump, reaching a distance of 10.30 meters.
Anna Cooney posted the fourth best distance in the shotput, throwing 10.21 meters.
Allison Reuter won the weight throw with a distance 15.79 meters, breaking a new school record previously held by her. Cooney finished fourth in the event.
