(box score)

Widener could not hold an early lead and was dealt a 5-3 loss by Heidelberg in Fort Myers, FL.

Widener got a run in the top of the first inning when freshman Alec O'Dell (Edgewood, MD) continued his impressive start by blasting a solo home run.  Heidelberg tied things in the bottom of the frame when Joe Staab scored on an error.

The Pride (1-5) then grabbed a 3-1 lead in the top of the third.  Sophomore Marc Noyalis (Dallas, PA) reached on an error that scored O'Dell and senior Brendan O'Brien (Coatesville, PA) lined a run-scoring single to plate senior Dennis Hocker (Coral Springs, FL).

But the Student Princes (5-0) scored three times in the fifth for a 4-3 cushion.  Staab had an RBI single, Trevor Oldham scored on a wild pitch to tie the contest and T.J. Harkness added a run-scoring double to give Heidelberg the lead for good.

Noyalis closed with two hits for the Pride.  Freshman Shawn Barton (Minersville, PA) was charged with five runs and eight hits over six innings with a strikeout.
