GRANTHAM Pa. – The Pride took and early lead in game one of the MAC Semifinals, but the Messiah University Falcons ultimately came away with the win.
The Pride are now and 20-20 on the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Pride got the scoring in game one of the semifinals, as Chris McKenna singled to right field to drive in a run in the top of the first. Widener added on another run in the top of the second with an RBI single to left field courtesy of Jack Balcer. The Falcons offense woke up in the bottom of the third, tying the game at two after a two run double. Messiah then took their first lead of the day in the bottom of the fourth after an RBI single and a sacrifice fly, bringing the score to 4-2.
- After a scoreless fifth inning, the Falcons offense managed to scratch across another run increasing their lead to 5-2. The Pride cut into the lead in the top of the seventh, as Kevin Bukowski put a ball in play to drive in a run. Messiah swiftly responded, putting up a three spot in the bottom half of the inning to make the score 8-3. The Falcons added on one more in the bottom of the eight and the Pride bats were unable to get rolling resulting in a Messiah 9-3 win.
