(box score)

Junior Josh Fox (Wynnewood, PA) scored four goals, including two in the third quarter when Widener pulled away for a 14-8 Commonwealth Conference victory over Lycoming at Leslie C. Quick Jr. Stadium.

Widener built a 7-4 halftime by scoring the final three goals of the half, courtesy of Fox, freshman Kyle Blakemore (Ridley Park, PA) and senior Michael Bassani (Califon, NJ).  The Pride held a 19-9 shots edge in the second quarter as part of a 49-40 day.

The Pride then scored five of the last six goals in the last nine minutes of the third period to open a comfortable 12-6 margin.  Bassani, senior Ryan Shewell (Ellicott City, MD) and junior Ryan Eidenshink (Elkins Park, PA) also tallied in that span.

Eidenshink and Bassani each netted three goals with sophomore Robert Clemens (Aston, PA) getting four assists for the Pride (4-7, 2-1 CC).  Sophomore Mac Nestler (Chatham, NJ) made nine saves over 60 minutes.

Ethan Payne and Hank Runser each scored twice and Sean Reilly amassed two assists for the Warriors (4-7, 1-2), who went 0-for-6 on man-up opportunities.

Widener on Wednesday visit Messiah in a re-match of last year's Middle Atlantic Conference final.  Game time in Grantham, PA is 7:00 pm.
