(results)

Widener sent many of its competitors to take part in the ECAC Championships at the famed New York Armory.

The men's 4x200-meter relay team excelled by stopping the clock in 1:30.49, breaking the school record that stood for nine years. The squad ended eighth and was comprised of Robert Innocent (Fairfax, VA), fellow senior Kevin Franklin (Baltimore, MD), freshman Tyler Schmalhofer (Elizabethtown, PA) and junior Sean McCarthy (Ellicott City, MD).

Freshman Mick Coleman (Southampton, PA) was tied for seventh in the pole vault at 4.56 meters, junior Michael Garrity (Briarcliffe, PA) closed 10th in the mile at 4:16.29, Innocent ended 12th in the 55-meter dash at 6.57 seconds and senior Jacob Munick (Narberth, PA) was 18th in the weight throw at 15.33 meters.

It was the Pride's first meet since winning its second straight Middle Atlantic Conference title last week. Schmalhofer was tabbed the Male Rookie of the Meet.

Junior Brooke McDonald (Drexel Hill, PA), who last week won the MAC title in the pole vault, was tied for ninth in this meet at 3.37 meters but was awarded 11th place on a judge's decision.
