Track and Field Takes Part in DuCharme Invitational

Widener went through its last tune-up before the conference championships, competing at the DuCharme Invitational in Carlisle, PA.

The women's 4x400-meter relay team won in 4:28.56 and was comprised of senior Valisha Andrus (Pemberton, NJ), junior Emilie Keane (Haddonfield, NJ), Ashley Callahan (Clementon, NJ) and fellow sophomore Madeleine Cattuna (Cherry Hill, NJ).

The women's distance medley relay closed third in 14:17.13 and included Callahan, senior Emily Asher (Lansdale, PA), Elisabeth Powell (San Antonio, TX) and fellow freshman Kellie Medendorp (Prospect Park, PA).

Junior Dennis Conn (Morton, PA) was victorious in the 800-meter run, finishing in 1:58.31.

The men's and women's squad are in action Saturday at the Middle Atlantic Conference Championships in Bethlehem, PA. The men are the defending champions.
