4/9/08 -- Widener opened a seven-goal lead at halftime and held on for a 10-8 Middle Atlantic Conference victory over FDU-Florham in Madison, NJ.

Andrew Janusz (Easton, PA) scored two goals apiece in the the first half as the Pride took an 8-1 lead. Widener gained a 17-10 shots edge in the first 30 minutes and 30-27 overall.
The Devils (2-6, 2-1 MAC) scored three straight goals late in the third quarter to close to 9-5, thanks to two from Drew Canfield. The score held until 7:48 remaining in the game, when senior
Luke Weber (Lititz, PA) tallied for a five-goal contest. FDU scored three times in the last 6:56 for the final.
Weber also finished with two goals and won 11-of-15 faceoffs for Widener (6-5, 3-0), which sits in a first-place tie with Messiah. Senior
Clint Quedenfeld (Chalfont, PA) dished three assists, Malampy had two and senior
Tim Collins (Yorktown Heights, NY) made nine saves.
Canfield scored three goals and James Baker netted two for the Devils. Evan Mager made 12 saves.
Widener on Saturday hosts Lycoming, beginning at 1:00 pm.
