Andrew Janusz (Easton, PA) each scored four goals for Widener, which jumped on DeSales early in both schools Middle Atlantic Conference opener and cruised to a 12-3 victory in Center Valley, PA.
Widener (4-5, 1-0 MAC) opened a 3-0 lead after the first quarter. Quedenfeld scored in the first five minutes with Janusz and senior
Brian Stromko (Maplewood, NJ) tallying in the last three minutes.
The margin ballooned to 8-0 at halftime thanks to a late surge. Quedenfeld, senior
Chris Matthews (Drexel Hill, PA) and Janusz found the back of the net within a 16-second span, the last of which came with 1:40 to play in the half.
The Pride owned a 28-12 shots edge at intermission and 41-24 overall.
Quedenfeld reached four goals for the third time this season, helping Widener to its third victory in five outings.

Luke Weber (Lititz, PA) and sophomore
Cory Malampy (Ridley, PA) each dishing two assists for the Pride. Senior
Tim Collins (Yorktown Heights, NY) made four saves and Weber closed with seven ground balls.
Matthew Brancaccio had a goal and an assist with Justin Campanelli making nine saves for the Bulldogs (4-5, 0-1).
Widener on Saturday hosts Elizabethtown at 4:00 pm. It is a rematch of the MAC semifinals from the last two years, each won by the Pride.
