3/1/08 -- Widener ran into a buzzsaw in No. 1 Salisbury, suffering a 19-3 loss at Leslie C. Quick Jr. Stadium.
Salisbury (4-0) used the extra-man opportunity to its advantage, converting all four attempts in the first half. Greg Titus scored on three of those chances and Kylor Berkman tallied on the other.
Titus ended the half with four goals and Berkman had three as the Sea Gulls opened a 12-1 lead. Salisbury gained a 29-9 shots edge in that span.
Titus finished with five goals, Bruce Richardson netted four and Riley Clark made seven saves over 30 minutes for Salisbury, which closed 7-for-9 overall with the extra man.
