CHESTER, Pa. – A chilly Friday night at the Danny Curran Invitational showed a new Widener Record from Widener Women's Track & Field's
Kathryn Long.
HOW IT HAPPENED ON FRIDAY
On the track,
Kathryn Long would take on the 10,000-meter and place second overall with a 36:41.52.
Gabby Nye and
Sarah Paulin would finish together with a 43:51.02 and 43:51.32.
In the field,
Aisosa Washington threw a 26.27-meter discus while
Heron Gaudet marked a 24.39-meter toss.
The shot put would show the two throwing again with Gaudet marking a 10.32-meter throw and Washington showing a 10.30-meter throw.
HOW IT HAPPENED ON SATURDAY
Loralei Golembiewski's 1500-meter would open Saturday with a 5:22.98.
Erin O'Brien would show a 5:29.80 while
Amber Wilsey clocked a 5:41.07.
In the 100-meter hurdles,
Zahara Simmons would show a 14.81.
Allyson Hakes led the 400-meter for a 1:06.15 while
Alyssa Kolimaga showed a 1:06.39. Following close behind was
Veronica Ashcraft with a 1:08.46.
Golembiewski would also compete in the 800-meter with a final time of 2:31.99.
Katelyn Fox showed a 1:15.64 in the 400-meter hurdles to open the season.
In the field,
Kaitlyn Helbig showed a 20.84-meter mark in the javelin.
Amanda Simpson's 2.45-meter would show in results in the pole vault.
The hammer throw featured the 45.44-meter mark from
Isabel Rodriguez.
Jillian Walker would show a 38.85-meter distance.
