PHILADELPHIA – A weekend was packed full as Widener women's track and field downs season and personal bests while moving into national rankings at Widener's Indoor Classic.
HOW IT HAPPENED ON FRIDAY
In the shot put
Aisosa Washington would show a 10.71-meter throw.
Sani Hamlin would mark a 9.68-meter throw while
Heron Gaudet showed a 9.62.
Isabel Rodriguez held a new personal best 15.16-meter distance to move into the top 100 in the nation.
Anna Baukal followed suit with an 11.98-meter throw.
Jillian Walker marked an 11.83-meter toss.
HOW IT HAPPENED ON SATURDAY
In the Ott Center,
Zahara Simmons clocked a 9.61 in the 60-meter hurdles for a new season best.
Jayla Gore showed a season best 8.15 in the prelims of the 60-meter dash.
Loralei Golembiewski's mile would mark a new season best with a 5:31.91.
A handful would take on the 200-meter dash as
Ziraya Snowden led with a 26.96. Simmons would finish her day with a 27.02 and season best.
Erica Thomas clocked a 27.38 while
Allyson Hakes showed a 27.64 and personal best.
Veronica Ashcraft (28.16) and
Katelyn Fox (28.21) showed personal bests.
Mia Flemming took seventh in the long jump with a 5.19-meter distance to equal her personal best. Flemming wrapped up her afternoon with a new personal best in the triple jump with an 11.17-meter jump. Flemming's triple jump moves her to 43
rd in the nation.
