LA CROSSE, Wis. - Graduate student Gabby Nye caps off her collegiate career in historic fashion at NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

Nye's final meet at Widener showed two First Team All-American honors and an NCAA Elite Scholar Athlete award.

In her fourth ever time competing in the steeplechase, Nye would place fifth heading into Friday finals with a 10:26.14. Friday evening's finals placed her fourth to pick up the first ever steeplechase All-American designation after a time of 10:26.86.

A familiar event would wrap up her meet as Nye would compete in the 5000-meter on Saturday evening. Nye would hold in the chase pack for the duration of the race and push to a fourth place finish in 16:32.77, earning her second First Team All-American honor.

Nye capped off history earlier on Saturday afternoon where she was named the 2026 NCAA Elite Scholar Athlete for holding the highest GPA. This marks the first in Widener history.
