Pride Showcase at Schuylkill Showcase at Ott Center

PHILADELPHIA – A Sunday special featured Widener Women's Track and Field at the Widener Schuylkill Showcase at UPenn's The Ott Center with new times ahead of a split weekend.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED ON THE TRACK
 
Jayla Gore would feature in the 60-meter dash where she clocked an 8.16 final time.
 
Erica Thomas would lead three in the 200-meter dash with a 27.58. Zahara Simmons showed a 27.66 and Alyssa Kolimaga would finish with a 27.74.
 
The 400-meter showcased three with first year Katelyn Fox leading with a 1:04.66. Veronica Ashcraft came next with a final time of 1:06.32 and Allyson Hakes clocked a 1:06.37.
 
Simmons hurdled to a 9.97 in the second section.
 
Loralei Golembiewski led the distance group in the 5k with an 18:38.12 while Amber Wilsey crossed the line in a 21:21.93. Wilsey marked a new personal best.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED IN THE FIELD
 
In the pits, Mia Flemming would mark a 4.74-meter long jump on her first attempt. Flemming continued her afternoon with a 10.88-meter triple jump mark.
 
Friday evening in Widener's Fieldhouse would show Heron Gaudet throwing a 10.11-meter shot put and Aisosa Washington marking a 9.81-meter throw. Sani Hamlin also marked a 9.75-meter distance.
 
Isabel Rodriguez led the weight throw with a 14.24-meter distance to take sixth overall. Jillian Walker threw a 12.33-meter toss on her final attempt. Gaudet also tossed an 11.21-meter throw on her last attempt alongside Anna Baukal throwing a 10.90-meter distance.
 
UP NEXT
Widener heads to Staten Island, N.Y. on Friday, February 6 for the Fast Track National meet and Collegeville, Pa. on Saturday, February 7 for the Frank Colden Invitational.
