NEWTOWN, Pa. - Widener Baseball has been ranked fourth in the 2026 MAC Coaches' Preseason Poll, as announced by the conference office on Monday (Jan. 19).

The top spot goes to Messiah with 49 points (7 first place votes) after they took home the conference title and advanced to the college world series. Alvernia is right behind them with 47 points and rounding out the top three is York with 35 points.
 
Widener grabbed the fourth spot with 32 points and below them is Eastern with 27 followed by Hood with 16, Stevenson with 13, and Albright with 12.
 
Widener will begin their season on Sunday, February 15^th with a double header at Shenandoah. Their first home game will be on Wednesday, February 25^th against Swarthmore.
