HAVERFORD, Pa. – Widener Women's Soccer stood tall against a relentless Haverford College Fords offense to secure a 0-0 draw.
The Pride are now 4-3-3 on the season and 0-0 in conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Haverford applied early pressure, but Widener keeper Araba Abanyie came up with multiple saves in the early going to keep Haverford off the scoreboard. Widener countered with chances of its own as Gracelyn Sarni sent an attempt high, and Charlotte Burke forced Haverford's goalkeeper into action with a shot on goal. The Pride's defense held firm against a wave of Haverford corners, with Abanyie turning away dangerous looks. The half closed scoreless, with Abanyie making four saves to keep it even at the break.
- Widener pushed forward early after the restart as Reilly Klein fired a shot on goal in the 46th minute, but it was denied. Haverford responded to the early Widener pressure, earning multiple corner kicks and unleashing a flurry of shots. Abanyie once again stood tall, making key stops, including back-to-back-to-back saves in the 57th minute. Abby Picollo nearly broke the deadlock for the Pride in the 78th minute with a shot on goal, but Haverford's keeper made the stop. Widener's defense and Abanyie weathered a late push from the Fords and would secure a 0-0 draw despite 20 Haverford shots.
