McGraw Becomes a NATIONAL CHAMPION in Triple Jump

Almoney and Knowles earn All-American

GENEVA, Ohio - A successful season for Widener Men's Track and Field results in three All-Americans and a NATIONAL CHAMPION at NCAA Outdoor Championships.

Head Men's Cross Country and Track and Field Coach Vince Touey remarks on the challenges throughout the season for Matayo and Isaac. "Throughout the entire season, both Matayo and Isaac have become ideal teammates through their willingness to make sacrifices while preparing for the NCAA Championships. Being able to perform under the extreme pressure of an NCAA Championships is a testament to their mental toughness. We here at Widener Track and Field are proud of all Matayo and Issac represent."

FRIDAY

Samuel Knowles opened Nationals in the 400-meter dash one last time. Knowles would clock a 48.68 to pick up another All-American honor, this time on the second team.

SATURDAY

All-American status continued to pour in on the final day of competition as Matayo McGraw jumped to a personal best in the triple jump on his final attempt. His new personal best 15.32-meter jump would leap him above the field to become the 2025 National Champion. McGraw's attempts showed as 15.05-meters, 15.14-meters, 14.80-meters, and 15.28-meters.

First time Nationals visitor Isaac Almoney would come home with a spot on the First Team as an All-American. A competitive top eight would show marks above 60-meters. Almoney would mark a 60.40-meter distance to snag 8th. His six attempts would see results from three throws (58.20-meters on his second and a 60.13-meter throw on his third).
