CHESTER, Pa. – Widener Men's Track and Field send a handful to open the season at the annual Danny Curran Invitational.
HOW IT HAPPENED ON FRIDAY
In the 10,000-meter,
Michael Carolan would lead the Pride with a 33:13.72.
Gavin Kelly clocked a 33.22.93.
The shot put featured
Ashton Brown who marked a 12.60-meter toss while
Kevin Williams threw an 11.26-meter distance.
HOW IT HAPPENED ON SATURDAY
David Abbey opened the men's competition with a 4:18.72 in the 1500-meter.
Isaiah Brewer opened his season with a 4:30.98.
Tyler Ressler saw a personal best 400-meter with a 51.49 while Xaiver Nesbeth clocked a 51.98.
A grouping in the 100-meter dash would be led by
Glenn Yirenkyi with an 11.74.
Jacob Grossman would clock a 11.82 while
Troy Wallace (11.83) and
Brandon Catherine (11.84) would finish close behind.
David Johnson saw a 1:58.73 in the 800-meter.
In the 400-meter hurdles,
Tristen Silverstein clocked a 1:00.90 to open his season.
In the field, Grossman marked a 6.28-meter long jump to take 12
th.
Alex Stempin returned to competition in the javelin where he threw a 50.08-meter distance.
Jackson Brink marked a 46.26-meter toss while colin Mahon threw a 43.95-meter mark.
Aiden Wilson's pole vault showed a 4.10-meter height.
