CHESTER, Pa. – The MAC Commonwealth Tournament field is set as Widener Men's Lacrosse beats out a three-way tie to steal the fourth spot.
The semifinal game is slated for Wednesday, Apr. 30 at 4 p.m. in York, Pa.
Following an 4-13 regular season and a 3-4 MAC Commonwealth record, the Pride head into the postseason tournament against the No. 10 and top seeded York Spartans. This season the Pride conference wins over Alvernia (Apr. 5), Albright (Apr. 9), and Messiah (Apr. 16). As the season emerged the 13-9 win over Messiah became important in conference standings.
The Spartans finished the 2025 season with an overall record of 14-3 and a perfect 7-0 MAC Commonwealth record. The 17 games for the Spartans would showcase wins over No. 11 Swarthmore (Mar. 12), RV Endicott and Grove City, No. 7 Gettysburg (Apr. 2), and conference foe No. 11 Stevenson.
The Pride and Spartans met earlier in the season on Apr. 19 in York, Pa. where the No. 10 Spartans downed the Pride 19-8. Over the course of the 60 minutes, graduate student midfielder

This season the Pride has seen key stats from first year
Luke Shimko, junior
Samuel Haverstrom, senior
Chris Covington, and senior
Austin Angradi. On the offensive side, Shimko and Haverstrom lead the Pride with 27 goals and 11 assists each. The defensive game features the two top caused turnover leaders from Covington and Angradi with 20 and 18 respectively.
The winner of the MAC Commonwealth Semifinal will advance to the Championship game slated for Saturday, May 3. Game time and final opponents are to be determined.

MAC Commonwealth ticket pricing are as follows: $8 (adults), $6 (senior citizens 65+), and $6 (youth 7-17). MAC students with ID and children six and under with an adult get in for free.
