CHESTER, Pa. – A packed weekend of competition at the annual Paul Donahue Invitational on the George A. Hansell Track results in a handful of new personal bests and two top 10 performances in the nation.
 
FRIDAY
 
A cool Friday evening opened with Tom Flear and Joe Nescio in the top 25 of the men's 5000-meter. Flear placed 7th overall with a 14:43.11 while averaging a 1:11 per 400-meters. Nescio placed 24th with a 15:12.46. Flear added a regional qualifying time.
 
Out in the pits, David Fuhrman threw a 13.82-meter distance in the shot put while Jet Li Tang threw a 11.89-meter throw.
 
Matayo McGraw moved to fourth in the nation before all weekend results were submitted in the triple jump after his 14.93-meter distance. Jacob Grossman jumped to a 13.66-meter distance while Alexander Szymanik marked an 11.47-meter distance.
 
Furhman led in the discus with a 40.43-meter toss. Jaron Tate would throw a 40.16-meter mark for a new personal best as both earned conference marks.
 
SATURDAY
 
The men's 4x100 relay placed third overall with a 42.14 to open the final day of racing.
 
Tristen Silverstein ran to a 16.45 in the 110-meter hurdles while teammate Troy Wallace clocked a 16.82.
 
Samuel Knowles captured first in the 400-meter with a 47.16 to have him T-6 in the nation.
 
Erastus Ndirangu clocked an 11.07 in the 100-meter dash. Tyler Ressler finished with an 11.45.
 
Jonathan David ran to a 57.50 in the 400-meter hurdles. Silverstein returned to the track as he clocked a 59.02.
 
Knowles sprinted to a 21.91 in the 200-meter dash in the late afternoon. Ressler clocked a 22.61.
 
In the steeplechase, Isaiah Brewer chased to a 10:44.10.
 
Out on the long jump pit, McGraw marked a new personal best 6.78-meter distance. Grossman hit a 6.80-meter distance.
 
McGraw maintained his conference leading with a 1.93-meter height in the high jump for a new personal best. Pringle vaulted himself to a 3.80-meter height.
 
Sean Gizzi and Brennan Pringle took to the runway in the pole vault. Gizzi led with a 4.25-meter height
 
UP NEXT
Widener will head to the famous Penn Relays from Thursday to Saturday, April 24-26 while a handful travel to the Lehigh Covert Classic on Friday and Saturday, April 25-26.
