CHESTER, Pa. – Widener Women's basketball finished the 2024-25 regular season strong, winning their last three games to clinch the number two seed in the MAC playoffs. They will host the York College Spartans for the second year in a row in the MAC Commonwealth Semifinal game. Tip off is scheduled for Wednesday, February 26
th at 6 p.m.
The Pride went 17-8 (10-4 MAC) this season. This season the Pride swept four of their seven conference opponents and finished out the season winning six of their last seven games.
The Spartans ended the regular season with a 16-9 (9-5 MAC) record. After starting conference play with a 2-3 record, York was able to win its next six games to secure them a spot in the MAC Commonwealth playoffs.
The Pride and Spartans met twice this season, with both teams winning on their home court. York won the first match up of the season 68-53 but Widener was able to turn it around in their second match up with a dominating 72-55 win.
Mia Robbins had a career year for the Pride averaging 18.6 points and 8.4 rebounds per game. In the second game of the season, Robbins would score a career high 29 points while also grabbing 12 rebounds in a win against Marymount.
Lindsay Kutz has been a dependable all around player for Widener, averaging 10.2 points and 8.4 rebounds a game. Kutz also leads the team in steals with 1.6 a game and in assists averaging 2.8.
Riley Stackhouse has been a key player in her first year with the team, averaging 7.3 points, 1.6 assists, and 1.5 steals per game.
The winner of this game will take on the winner of Messiah vs. Albright. The MAC Championships will be on Saturday, March 1
st. Time and location will be determined after the semifinal round.

Ticket prices are as follows: $8 (adults), $6 (senior citizens 65+), and 6$ (Youth 7-17). MAC students with ID and children six and under with an adult get in for free. Cash or credit card will be accepted at the door.
