HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Widener opened the first quarter with a 6–0 run behind early buckets from Daniels, Kutz, and Baer, setting the tone with efficient interior scoring. Kutz added a three to push the lead to 9–2, while Daniels and Baer continued to generate offense in the midrange. Strong defensive work from Kutz and Daniels, including multiple rebounds and steals, helped Widener maintain control despite a late Dickinson push. The Pride finished the quarter up 15–11.

  • The Pride opened the second quarter with a jumper from Kutz, but Dickinson quickly closed the gap. The teams traded scores as Riley Stackhouse and Kutz kept Widener slightly ahead, but a surge of scoring from Dickinson pushed the Red Devils in front 31–27. Mia Elisano ended the run with a layup, and Stackhouse added free throws to keep Widener within reach, but Dickinson continued to convert at the line and held a 37–34 lead after Elisano buried a late fastbreak three.

  • Widener battled through a tight third quarter, opening with a layup from Daniels to pull within one, 37–36. Dickinson answered with a small run, but Kimberly Casiello's layup and a three-pointer moments later kept the Pride close at 43–41. After Dickinson pushed the lead back to five, Daniels steadied Widener with two free throws, and Stackhouse followed with a fastbreak layup to make it 46–45. The teams continued to trade scores, with Stackhouse hitting a jumper to bring Widener within one again at 48–47. In the final minute, Kutz delivered two key buckets, including a go-ahead layup with 40 seconds left, to send Widener into the fourth quarter leading 51–50.

  • The Pride opened the fourth quarter strong as Kutz scored inside to push the lead to 53–50, followed by a jumper from Liliana Metrick to keep the Pride in front. After Dickinson trimmed the gap, Baer knocked down two free throws for a 57–54 edge before Daniels hit a midrange jumper and Stackhouse converted a fastbreak layup to make it 61–55. Widener continued to hold control with Baer finishing at the rim for a 63–55 lead, but Dickinson responded with a late push to make it 63–61 entering the final minute.
