CHESTER, Pa. – In the final qualifier meet on Monday, Widener Men's Track and Field earn more regional cuts before weekend competition.
Sam Knowles led the charge in the 400-meter dash to earn a regional cut with a 47.71.
Brion McNear and
Josh Schreiner followed Knowles with a 49.76 and 50.41 respectively.
In the 5000-meter run,
Pat Carolan raced to a 14
th place overall finish and a 14:55.58 final time. Carolan's time earned a regional cut.
Matayo McGraw would take first overall in the triple jump. McGraw's 15.01-meter jump came on his fifth attempt of the afternoon to pick up a standard.
Out at throws,
Conrad Howell's hammer throw marked a 49.72-meter distance. Howell would lead
John Kodack who would throw a 44.53-meter toss.

Widener will travel a handful to the 2024 AARTFC Outdoor Championships hosted by SUNY Cortland on Wednesday and Thursday, May 15 and 16.
