Tom Flear of Widener Men's Track and Field runs to a new All-Time Top 10 spot at the 2024 Danny Curran Invite.

Jacob Cappiello led the Pride in the 400-meter dash where he clocked a 53.74, just finishing before
Luke Spera who ran to a 55.45.
Senior,
Josh Schreiner saw his first race of the outdoor season in the 800-meter run as he would run a 2:02.62.
The mile would be led by
Gavin Kelly where he ran a 4:11.56, setting his season baseline.
Joseph Nescio placed 11
th in the 5000-meter run on Friday night. Nescio clocked a new personal best with a 15:05.01. He would also earn an AARTFC standard from his new best.
Tom Flear's distance expertise showed in the 10,000-meter run late on Friday night. Flear would move into fifth in the All-Time Top 10 listing with a 30:46.66 while also running to a new personal best and regional cut. Patrick Carolan would finish in a 31:42.17 to also earn a regional cut.
In the 400-meter hurdles,
Jonathan David and
Ben Miller each saw their first competition of the outdoor season. David led with a 58.21 and Miller followed close behind in a 59.79.
FIELD
In the field,
Aidan Wilson's pole vault would mark an 11
th finish and a 3.70-meter height.
David Waters threw a 13.69 on his second attempt to take third in the shot put.
Conrad Howell threw an AARTFC mark in the hammer throw to lead
John Kodack and
David Waters. Howell marked a 53.15-meter throw while Kodack hit a 44.70-meter and David a 42.45-meter throw.
In Ethan Pomaples' first outdoor meet, he would mark a new personal best 38.62-meter throw in the javelin.

Widener returns next weekend for the Ursinus Track and Field Festival in Collegeville, Pa. The meet is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, April 5 and 6.
