HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST HOOD
- After a Gianna Samuels' triple started things off for Widener, Hood answered with a three just 30 seconds later. The Blazers kept the score close for most of the first quarter, but the Pride began distancing themselves with around three minutes left. D'Ambrosio would score eight of her 19 points within the final two-and-a-half minutes of the quarter to build a double-digit lead for Widener. At the end of one quarter, the Pride led 21-11.
- Mia Robbins scored the first four Widener points of the second quarter, including an and-one layup. Even with a few Hood buckets, the Pride maintained their lead. Both teams would go cold for two minutes before D'Ambrosio broke the streak. Samuels cashed a three-pointer with 14 seconds left to give Widener a 36-22 lead at halftime.
- Out of the locker room, the Pride had their best defensive quarter, as they only allowed six points. A D'Ambrosio layup at 8:31 was the first score for either side. The Blazers would not score a single bucket until they hit a three with 4:47 remaining in the quarter. A quick 5-0 run at the end of the third set of 10 minutes gave Widener a 20-point lead. The Pride were ahead 48-28.
- On a Robbins' layup to start the quarter, the Pride reached the 50-point mark. The Blazers were more aggressive in the final quarter, matching their point total from the third quarter about two minutes into the fourth. Throughout the quarter, the Pride had no problems scoring the paint or on the perimeter. Despite a few more shots from Hood, they never made a serious threat to the Widener lead. A layup from Kaitlyn Kearney at 1:19 was the final score for either team. Widener won 62-46.
