BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Widener Men's Track and Field earn 16 MAC qualifying times at Moravian's Indoor Meet held at Lehigh University.
Samuel Knowles showed off his speed in the 60-meter dash where he would sprint to a 7.16.
Jacob Cappiello finished .14 after Knowles with a 7.30. Both would earn a MAC Championship qualification.
Knowles continued his sprints in the 200-meter dash. He would come shy of a first with a 22.63 time to pick up his second qualifying time of the day.
In the 400-meters,
Brion McNear would lead
Josh Schreiner and
Jonathan David to MAC times. McNear clocked a 52.47 while Schreiner hit a 53.26 and David a 53.40. David would pick up a new personal best.
Distance runner,
Joe Nescio would run a personal best in the mile with a 4:30.02 to earn a conference qualifying time.
David snagged another personal best in the 60-meter hurdles as he registered a 9.17.
Tristen Silverstein placed close behind with a 9.20.
In the field,
Alex Stempin marked a 6.28-meter jump in the long jump.
First year
Matayo McGraw took first in the triple jump with an AARTFC and MAC standard. McGraw would mark a 13.92-meter jump.
David Waters returned to the circle in the shot put where he would earn an AARTFC and MAC mark with a 14.50-meter throw.
Conrad Howell also picked up a MAC mark with his 12.51-meter throw.
Howell threw a personal best 15.63-meter in the weight throw to place third and earn an AARTFC and MAC qualification. Waters marked a 14.10-meter throw.
John Kodack's first collegiate meet would see a 12.33-meter throw to earn conference championship standards.
