BALTIMORE, Md. – Despite a strong effort on Sunday, the Pride once again ended in a scoreless tie. This time, it was against the Sewanee Tigers. The match was played in Baltimore as part of the Johns Hopkins Women's Soccer Invitational.
The Pride are 0-0-2 in the regular season. They will play their first conference game against the York College Spartans on Sept. 30.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST SEWANEE
- One of the best saves by Rende was when Sewanee's Maggie O'Hare had a shot attempt from around 12 yards. Rende, who had come off the line, chased it down and saved it in the corner just in time.
- Although the Tigers had 16 shot attempts, the Pride's defense made plays. Only six of Sewanee's shots were on goal.
- Widener nearly had a chance to win late in the 89th minute. As the match was nearing the end, Widener's Avery Drumbore's shot was a little high.
- Kelly Barr leads the teams in shots (two).
