CHESTER, Pa. –
David Millar of Widener men's track and field clocks a new personal best and earns a spot on the All-Time Top 10 list in the final meet of the 2023 season.
HOW IT HAPPENED AT WIDENER FINAL QUALIFIER
TRACK
On the track,
Dereck Darden clocked an 11.29 second race in the preliminaries of the 100-meter dash.
Samuel Knowles took a win in the 400-meter dash with a 47.80. Currently Knowles is ranked 10
th in the nation from his Widener Invite time.
Josh Schreiner competed and clocked a 51.60 to just miss his personal best.
In the final event on the track,
David Millar led the group of three in the 5000-meter run. Millar ran a 14.52.17 to set a new personal best to sneak him into the Widener All-Time Top 10 list at 10. Patrick Carolan would fall two places back with a 14.53.41.
Joseph Cardie would set a new personal best as well with a 14:57.03.
FIELD
Alden Littlefield threw a 16.47-meter mark in the shot put. Littlefield's mark was just shy of his personal best of 17.23-meters.
David Waters would also fall just shy of his personal best with a 14.18-meter mark.
In the javelin,
Alex Stempin threw a 49.58-meter throw to set a new personal best.
The current leader in Division III took to the circle in the hammer throw.
Alex Kristeller marked a 64.47-meter throw on his fourth attempt. Littlefield threw a 58.59-meter throw on his final attempt while
Justin Adams threw a 57.88-meter throw. Littlefield currently ranks 10
th and Adams is currently slated at 19
th.

Widener will hit the track and field on Wednesday, May 17 at the AARTFC Championships. Events are scheduled to start at noon.
